Finally we are experiencing a real red carpet event since pandemic at 74th Festival de Cannes without social distancing and masks, after months of virtual shows and red carpets, it is so refreshing to see celebrities mingle like old times and put on glorious haute couture and haute joaillerie to celebrate art.

High-Jewelry this year is unbelievably creative with three main jewelry houses monopolizing the red carpet, here are the best jewelry on the Festival de Cannes red carpet so far, I will update this post again after closing ceremony, so make sure to save it and check it again after July 17th! A luminous wave running through a translucent material with iridescent reflections.

At the center of this aquatic set, a betta fish swims through an opal sea. Its fins are created using the plique-à-jour technique, allowing the light to shine through their transparency so they sparkle with holographic reflections.

Diffracts and breaks light, revealing true, clear colors.

Multiple rows of holographic crystal and diamonds reflect playfully to and fro in a game of light and color on this cuff. The earrings and the ring are a stretched pear cut. The cleverly concealed light notches in the rock crystal multiply their radiance.

Iconic Red Carpet Jewelry Moments 2011-2020

Over the past decade, there were hundreds of red carpet events and each had stars dripping in gems and jewelry. Here is a highlight of each year from 2011-2020 chosen from many events and pieces. In my opinion, featured pieces are the most iconic red carpet jewelry in the past decade. Each year shows the evolution of jewelry trends as well as a strong desire for timeless pieces. Amongst the selected pieces, diamonds carrying most of the weight as the main stone followed closely by the prominent presence of emeralds. It was a hard decision to pick few pieces from each year but this is just the tip of the iceberg. By searching every single event for each year, the number of spectacular jewelry is astonishing. Scrolling down when you reach 2020, you will see a dramatic decrease in choices. Due to COVID-19 and the global pandemic, all the award shows and events canceled/postponed, or broadcasted without the red carpet and audience throughout 2020, like Emmys. As for 2021, we had a promising start, so stay tuned for a complete report by end of the year. It took me almost a week to put together my list of favorites and iconic moments, I am sure many of you might disagree about which piece should’ve made the cut or not. Wow, finally it was the NIGHT and all I can say is such an AWESOME night beside every success the Diamonds and Jewels were way over the top.

I have few favorites which I almost adore the total look and the rest were fantastic too.
